The
UHRC operates in modes of campaigns. Each campaign is geared
toward one government who distorts, denies, and deludes its
own history to disguise past and present genocides, massacres,
and human rights violations. Campaigns will last up to five
years. They are structured in phases and steps, which include
education, awareness, political activism, petition drives,
and mainly consumer boycotts. These phases are to reduce tax
revenues that we, as Americans, provide to such governments
who in turn use them for denial efforts.
The
first campaign of the UHRC will be geared toward the government
of Turkey. The government of Turkey not only has one of the
worst human rights violations records in the world today,
but also works hard to deny its acts of genocide toward the
Armenian people between 1914-1923. By denying genocide, the
present day government of Turkey becomes guilty of the same
genocide as well. With the stance the present day government
of Turkey holds, it becomes a direct threat to all humanity
and even civilization as a whole. The UHRC will work to educate
the people worldwide of the human rights violations this government
commits and, through boycotts and grassroots mobilization;
will encourage businesses and consumers to stop buying and
selling products made in Turkey. As exports from Turkey decreases
so does tax revenues the government generates, which will
slowly eliminate its efforts of denial.
